The phyCORE-MPC5200B tiny SOM is populated with the high-performance, 32-bit RISC NXP MPC5200B processor highlighted by its ultra-low power consumption and real-time support. The two 220-pin high-density Molex connectors extend controller and board-level signals for access to circuitry common to embedded applications including DDR memory, Ethernet, USB, CAN, and more.

The MPC200B PowerPC Family
The NXP MPC5200B features MPC603e series processor core built on Power® Architecture technology. Complimented by a double precision Floating Point Unit (FPU), the MPC5200B delivers up to 400 MHz performance while highlighting a hardware Memory Management Unit (MMU) for fast task switching, BestComm DMA controller for intensive data transfers, and a packed set of integrated peripherals.

The phyCORE SOM is designed to plug into a PHYTEC Carrier Board that provides the I/O connectors as well as any other interface circuitry not provided on the phyCORE module itself.
