Product Overview
In modern IoT applications, a SOM such as the phyCORE-AM335x works well as the industrial Gateway to aggregate data from sensors and push to the cloud given the 1GHz processing power and dual Ethernet support. With common bus interfaces like I2C and SPI available at the interconnect, as well as display capabilities, applications can extend beyond simple gateways to more intelligent embedded control gateways further simplifying system design.
Features
Compact Design
With dimensions of 50 mm x 44 mm the SOM is well suited for small enclosures. Due to the low power consumption, a heat sink and fan are not required for most applications further reducing the size.
Industrial Communication
In addition to dual Gigabit Ethernet, the phyCORE-AM335x includes support for real-time communication protocols via the PRU-ICSS including EtherCAT®, PROFINET®, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS®, Ethernet Powerlink™.
Scalable
Customization available due to our high-mix, low-volume in-house Production. Need 3D graphics? Select the AM3359 processor variant which offers PowerVR’s SGX530. Need more storage memory? Select up to 64 GB eMMC
Rich Ecosystem
The popularity of the TI AM335x processor platform has enabled a community driven support platform rich with tools and application level example code.
