The Application
Leviton’s state-of-the-art “Project Green” technology includes central control of dimmers, dimming racks, relays, scene controllers, timers, motion sensors, occupancy sensors, daylighting, and architectural lighting functions. This offers the potential for significant energy savings in commercial and public lighting systems.
The Solution
The Handheld Display Unit (HDU) for the GreenMAX system is based on PHYTEC’s phyCORE-LPC3250 System on Module and the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 operating system. Programming and monitoring are easily enabled via the portable HDU, which provides onsite or remote access.
Leviton leveraged the phyCORE-LPC3250x Carrier Board as a reference for development of their own custom Carrier Board. The Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 operating system was adapted to support proprietary LumaCAN protocol and boot sequence, NET Compact Framework 3.5, SQL Server Compact 3.5, CoreCon connectivity API (TCP/IP), as well as Arabic and Chinese language pack support.
phyCORE®-LPC3250
The phyCORE-LPC3250 is based on the NXP LPC3250 ARM926EJ-S core processor. Extremely power-efficient and utilizing a universal design to enable a wide range of embedded applications, PHYTEC continues to support LPC3250 solutions for its legacy customers.
