The phyCORE-MPC5200B tiny SOM is populated with the high-performance, 32-bit RISC Freescale™ MPC5200B processor highlighted by its ultra-low power consumption and real-time support. The two 220-pin high-density Molex connectors extend controller and board-level signals for access to circuitry common to embedded applications including DDR memory, Ethernet, USB, CAN, and more.

The Freescale™ MPC5200B features MPC603e series processor core built on Power® Architecture technology.  Complimented by a double precision Floating Point Unit (FPU), the MPC5200B delivers up to 400 MHz performance while highlighting a hardware Memory Management Unit (MMU) for fast task switching, BestComm DMA controller for intensive data transfers, and a packed set of integrated peripherals.
