The phyCORE-i.MX35 SOM, populated with a NXP i.MX35 processor, is respected for being a high performance, mobile entertainment engine for the ultimate multimedia experience. Along with a configurable set of memory and expansion through multiple SD/MMC/SDIO ports, the phyCORE-i.MX35 is packed with connectivity options including dual CAN, dual USB-PHYs, on-chip Ethernet, display with touch controller, and a camera interface.

The i.MX35 ARM®-11 Processor Family
The NXP i.MX35 family of processors based on the ARM®-11 provides a perfect balance of performance, power consumption, connectivity, and media capabilities. Delivering up to 532 MHz, processor variants such as the i.MX357 integrate an OpenVG1.1 graphics processing unit and an advanced Image Processing Unit (IPU) to offer smooth textural visuals and updated display capabilities.

The phyCORE SOM is designed to plug into a PHYTEC Carrier Board that provides the I/O connectors as well as any other interface circuitry not provided on the phyCORE module itself.

The default configuration of the phyCORE-i.MX35 SOM included in the kit features: Freescale i.MX357 532 MHz processor, 128 MB DDR2, 1 GB NAND-Flash, 32 MB NOR-Flash, 32 KB I2C EEPROM, Ethernet PHY, HS USB OTG and Host PHY, and RS-232.
