The phyCARD-L-OMAP3530 SOM delivers up to 720 MHz and supports the Texas Instrument' OMAP3530 processor based on the ARM® Cortex™-A8 architecture. Due to identical break-out of interface signals per PHYTEC’s innovative X-Arc embedded bus standard, the phyCARD-L-OMAP3525 is compatible with other phyCARD family members making resources available at a single, 100-pin connector including Ethernet, USB, UART, SPI, I2C, audio, SDIO/MMC, GPIO, JTAG, display (LVDS), and more.

The OMAP3 Processor FamilyThe Texas Instruments' OMAP3 family of application processors feature an ARM® Cortex™-A8 core delivering up to 720 MHz for increased device performance while maintaining low power consumption. Highlights of the OMAP3530 include PowerVR™ SGX graphics for 3D display and gaming effects, IVA2.2, camera image signal processor (ISP), and a display subsystem.

phyCARD-L-OMAP3530 interfaces are routed to our high-density PCB interconnects on the underside of the SOM. Design the mating connectors on your carrier board.

The phyCARD SOM provides a flexible platform and is designed to plug into the PHYTEC phyBASE Carrier Board that provides a standard set of physical I/O connectors as well as any other interface circuitry not provided on the phyCARD module itself.

The default configuration of the phyCARD-L-OMAP3530 SOM included in the phyCARD-L kit features: TI OMAP3530 720 MHz processor, 256 MB LPDDR, 256 MB NAND-Flash, 4 KB EEPROM, Ethernet controller, USB OTG and Host transceivers.

PHYTEC Board Support Packages (BSPs) are software bundles that implement and support operating systems on our System on Modules. PHYTEC BSPs are application development-ready, offering all essential drivers and board-level feature support. The only task left for you is application integration. This way, you can focus on your core competencies while we take care of the rest.
