Handheld CAN Bus Diagnostics Unit

PCAN-Diag 2 is a handheld diagnostics tool with a wide range of functions for troubleshooting your CAN bus, including including bit rate, bus load, termination, sending/receiving messages, and tracing and playback of CAN traffic.

The built-in 2-channel oscilloscope provides a detailed analysis of the differential CAN signals. The trigger can be set to frame start or frame end and an explicit trigger frame can also be defined. The CAN frames are decoded based on the recorded analog curve which allows detection or errors within the frame.

In order to allow clear, simple allocation, the CAN messages can be displayed based on a CAN definition file. Output is through a color display with OLED technology, allowing superior readability even in bright ambient light conditions. The individual diagnostics functions can be selected and operated using a rotary dial with push in function.

As an alternative to the default high-speed CAN version, the replaceable CAN transceiver module allows connection to both low-speed and single-wire CAN systems.

The device is powered via a AC/DC wall adapter or 4x AA 1.5V batteries, both of which are included in the delivery contents of the unit.

The PCAN-Diag 2 package includes the PCAN-Diag Editor configuration software and PCAN Symbol Editor, both for Windows® 7/Vista/XP (32/64-bit).
