PCAN-USB Adapter

The PEAK CAN-USB adapter makes it possible to convert any computer USB port to a CAN bus. Galvanic isolation of up to 500V between a host-PC/Laptop and CAN signals is achieved with the help of an integrated DC/AC converter. The CAN BUS is connected to a 9-pin SUB-D plug according to CiA® standard recommendation DS 102-1. The LED integrated in the housing shows the operating state of the PCAN-USB.

The PCAN-USB package includes device drivers for Windows® 8, 7, Vista, XP (32/64Bit), the PCAN-Basic API, and the PCAN-View CAN monitor software. Linux drivers are also available.

Note: The x64 drivers work with the interface DLLs pcan_usb.dll from version 1.52 or higher. For applications that were build with the API of the canapi2.dll, interface DLLs from version 2.49.5 or higher are required. Files available in the Downloads Tab.
